“I can see the car.” Trevor nudges me.

I take a deep breath. “Let’s do it.”

Together, the two of us grab the sign and secure it to the wooden post.

Up the newly gravelled and pothole free road – paid for by part of the deposits from this summer’s bookings – comes the car with the first of the new season’s guests.

“There’s Dad! And Daddy Trev’r! And Auntie Julie!”

A smile spreads wide across my face, hearing Adam’s excited scream through the open car window. In the front seats are my ex-wife and her new partner.

I look over at Trevor, eyes all misted up. This big hunk of a guy, the love of my life, is blinking rapidly.

Above us, the sign with the image of Rosie sways in the light breeze.
