“Sir, All my workers are bound with a watcher contract with few exceptions, and those exceptional people are who I trust with my life,” Yanric replied quickly, finding no problem with Alex’s demand.
‘I think he didn’t understand my demand correctly. I should make it clear.” Alex thought, seeing Yanric agreeing to it quickly.
“I want you to make a watcher contract with every worker you hire, with the contract condition being that if they ever tried to betray you in any way, the punishment is instant death, and I don’t want any exception to this demand.”
“We have no deal if you can’t complete my demand,” Alex stated his demand and waited for Yanric to digest the information.
Alex was going to make this demand even if he wasn’t getting any share of the profits because if Yanric didn’t use contracted people for work. The business would be closed in less than a month, which would be a waste of an excellent opportunity for Alex.
Alex wanted to get cheap resources, but he was smart enough to learn from other players’ mistakes from his previous life, who used their Nobility to make partnerships with Beastmen and try to build a big business.
The businesses built by players and Beastmen partnerships always have a poor end for both parties because Human NPC merchants, who controlled a significant part of the Beast meat and ingredients market, don’t like someone messing with their high profits.
The complete use of contracted people as a workforce would not be enough to protect the business from those greedy merchants.
But it would give Alex enough time to earn significant authority on the human continent, making it very difficult for those merchants to mess with the business.
“Sir, I agree to your demands, and I am willing to give you twenty percent of the profits I would earn.”
“If you think this is not enough, we could negotiate a better deal that could benefit both of us,” Yanric said after thinking for a few seconds.
‘He is generous.’ Alex was surprised after hearing the percentage of profits he would get for doing absolutely nothing.
“I am satisfied with the percentage of profits,” Alex replied, not even considering asking for more than he got offered.
“Sir, Do you have a communication slip?” Yanric asked, and seeing Alex shake his head, he quickly took one out from his space ring and placed it on the table.
“Sir, Please take this, and when I am done locating the proper shops and completing the paperwork required to start the business, I will contact you using this communication slip.”
“I will not be available for one month, so take your time looking best and most suitable location for opening your shops,” Alex said as he placed the communication slip into his secured inventory.
“Sir, I think we should celebrate the completion of our deal with some good wine,” Yanric said with a bright smile as he took out a big bottle of wine from his space ring.
“Yanric, we are now business partners, so you should address me by my name Hidden One, and as for wine, I appreciate the offer, but I need to decline your offer as I need to leave this city in a short few minutes.”
“Sir Hidden One, we could celebrate next time we meet,” Yanric replied and placed the bottle back into his space ring and took out a crystal box with a small black stone inside.
“Sir Hidden One, This is the poison elemental core of the chimera that I promised you,” Yanric said, placing the crystal box on the table.
“Sir Hidden One, Please don’t open the sealing box, or we will both be dead in a few seconds,” Yanric said just as Alex picked up the crystal box.
‘What is he talking about?” Alex thought as he knew elemental cores were dangerous to touch, but they don’t kill someone just by being near them.
“This elemental core is damaged because the moment it comes in contact with mana in the air, it starts releasing deadly poison in large quantity, which is deadly enough to kill even Rank Three warrior in just a few minutes,” Yanric explained.
‘I never heard of a damaged core doing that, but then again, I only dealt with very few elemental cores in my previous life.’ Alex thought as he picked up the crystal box to examine the poison elemental core.
‘This is interesting.’ Alex thought after using appraisal on the elemental core.

‘I should check it using the Red Gem Appraisal skill. Maybe it could show me any more information.’ Alex thought after seeing so much unknown information.
Alex has used the blood Gem Appraisal skill on many items, but other than showing little more detailed information, the skill worked just like any other ordinary appraisal skill.
Alex took out the Red Gem from his inventory and used its appraisal skill on the elemental core, and to his dismay, the skill only showed a little more detailed information and nothing more.
“I have this Elemental core checked from a good appraisal, and he believes that the core was in the process of evolution when the beast’s body rejected the forceful evolution, disrupting the process which killed the chimera,” Yanric said, seeing Alex looking at the core with confusion.
‘The conclusion that appraisal came to is probably correct, as this could be just a half-finished product of a failed evolution, but this s still speculation as nobody knows the concrete truth.’ Alex thought, finding no flaws with the conclusion.
‘This Elemental core is useless, and I was making some grand plan and thinking of the best way to use it.’ Alex thought, looking at the useless elemental core in his hand.
After getting confirmation from Yanric that he could get the poison elemental core even though a damaged one, Alex quickly thought of the best way to use it.
Alex planned to use the elemental core to forcefully evolve his little vulture beast companion, which was nearly impossible as the elemental core of a Rank five beast would kill any beast with lower strength than Rank four.
Alex knew the consequences of the forceful evolution very well and never planned to kill his first beast companion, but he was still going with his plan because he knew how to make the forceful evolution a guaranteed success.
“Yanric, I want you to find me a new poison elemental core of high Ranking beast, and if you could find the core of a flying beast with a rare bloodline, then it would be best,” Alex said as he placed the crystal box and Red Gem into his secure inventory.
“I could easily get a poison elemental core of a High Ranking beast from my clan, but getting one with a rare bloodline would be very difficult,” Yanric replied.
“If you can get a rare bloodline beast core, then it is good, but if you can not get one, then try to get one from a beast of at least peak Fifth Rank,”
Alex knew finding a beast core from the high Ranking beast with a rare bloodline was very difficult, even in the beast continent market, because they were always in demand by the Beastmen Race’s higher echelons as they used them to refine their bloodline.
“I will try my best to get a good beast core,” Yanric replied.
“Master Yanric, The things you ordered are completed.” A lady appeared out of thin air next to Yanric and handed him a space ring.
‘A Pure Blood Beastmen.’ Alex thought as he felt the savage aura of a beast from the elegant lady wearing a dark cloak standing next to Yanric.
‘I wonder what her strength level is to appear next to us without making any sound.’ Alex kept looking at her while making theories, trying to quench his curiosity.
“Sarnah, I appreciate your help,” Yanric said to the lady as he took the space ring from her hand.
“Master, It is my duty to complete your every demand as your loyal servant,” Sarnah said, but she looked into Alex’s eyes briefly while talking with Yanric.
Alex was deep in thought when the lady looked at him, and everything around him changed immediately.
‘What’s going on?’
‘I think I am in an illusion?’ Alex thought, seeing the dimly lit dark area around him.
“Human, Let’s have a little chat, and If you lie to me at any point, you will regret it.” Alex heard a female voice behind his back, and when he turned around, he saw a giant Golden leopard walking toward him.
‘I am in big trouble.’
After seeing the giant Golden leopard and hearing the female voice, Alex immediately understood what was happening and who had put him in an illusion.
