“More than.”She sat next to her husband, leaning against him. “Hi there, myhandsome son. I should capture this.” Digging the phone out thepocket of her robe, she snapped a picture. “Okay buddy. Back tobed for you.”

“Let me.”Nigel rose carefully and carried him back. He turned when Ava joinedhim and wrapped her arm around his waist. “He is going back tosleep.”

“We shouldfollow suit.”

They left the nurseryfor the second time that night and went back to their bedroom.Settling back against the pillows, he gathered her close.

“Gladly.”Pushing her back, he took her lips in his. “Payment enough?”

“Not yet.”Wrapping her hands around his neck, she showed him what she needed.
